Under Georgia law, drivers charged with Driving under the Influence (D.U.I.), Driving While Intoxicated (D.W.I.), illegal possession of alcohol and/or drugs, and/or other traffic offenses must attend a Risk Reduction Program in order to be eligible to reinstate a driver’s license.  You should do it before your court date.  This class is commonly known as, “D.U.I. Class” or “Risk Reduction Program”. 

The following procedure is for taking the class is as follows:

Step 1:                   Take a “NEEDS” Assessment

·         Georgia law requires an assessment at before you start the class.

·         Assessment takes approximately 25-40 minutes to complete & can be done M-F 9:30-6:30 & Sat by appt.

·         Fee is $82.00 (fee set by Georgia law)

Step 2:                   Complete D.U.I. Class

·         Individuals will take a 20 consecutive hour Risk Reduction Program.

·         Certificate of Completion given at the end of the course*

·         Fee is $210.00 ($190.00 plus $20.00 for books and materials, fees set by Georgia law)

    * The student must pass the final exam with a grade of 70% or more.
